The annual Festive Ideas market at Simondium Country Lodge will offer visitors a sensational shopping experience with a decidedly French flair this year. From 26 – 30 October this gracious guest house will be transformed in a festive treasure chest with gifts galore.
Over 120 exhibitors will present their unique and exclusive products, which will add sparkle to any festive occasion. Each exhibitor will create their own little shop with the perfect gift ideas for all celebrations. Products vary from deli to décor items, designer clothing and accessories for adults and kids, tableware, glassware as well as hand-made fabric toys, amazing table décor items and indulgent bath products. Keen gardeners will find inspiration with a great selection of cactus plants, succulents and garden accessories.
Gourmands and food lovers will find mouthwatering delights in the deli ranging from fresh farm strawberries, hand-made toffees, teas, fig products as well as confectionary, chocolate, gourmet cheeses and cordials. Visitors can relax in the tea garden and restaurant and enjoy a glass of wine and a selection of snacks.
Marlize Lots will present daily craft workshops and this is a fantastic opportunity to learn several interesting craft techniques. Craft enthusiasts can learn how to make and decorate their own canvas shopping bags, how to decorate ceramic tiles with different three-dimensional effects to create gorgeous functional items such as pot stands, wall decorations, soap dishes or spoon rests as well as two contemporary paper mache techniques.
The Simondium Country Lodge is situated on the R45 between Paarl andFranschhoek. Enjoy a leisurely browse, great food and good wines while you shop till you drop.
