Smartsaver – An Online Goal Based Savings Platform, Is Now Live

Midrand, Johannesburg, 23 December 2020– Soma Solutions today launches their new online platform SmartSaver – an online platform that aims to inspire communities to achieve their short-term saving goals for better living. The online platform just launched in time for financial goal setting and planning for the new year!

As we enter 2021, we are looking to set new goals, the new SmartSaver is designed to assist people in saving for their lifestyle goals, such as household improvements and refurbishments, groceries, stationery, uniforms, and household appliances for as little as R12 per month. The platform will give the “Smart Saver” the option to save however much they would like to save per month towards their savings goal, contributing a minimum of R450 per month. The user also selects how long they want to be contributing towards the account and saving for, minimum period being 12 months. The Smart Saver will then contribute towards their saving goal every month, and earn interest on the money in their savings account. Once they have achieved their savings goal, the Smart Saver will gain access to the online shopping portal which will then allow them to spend their money on what it was initially intended for. There are no initiation or joining fees.

The online platform is easy to use, transparent, and a great tool for financial planning and saving with discipline. The platform helps users to save up for their dream purchases faster, and encourages users to earn interest whilst saving for items that they would have spent their money on anyway.

3. Monitor their goals
4. Once they’ve reached their goals they will receive all their monthly payments plus 5% interest
5. Shop online for their goods
6. Their goods will be delivered to them anywhere in South Africa
