N Cape man nabbed for drug possession:

A 29-year-old man from Kathu, Northern Cape, is expected to appear in the local magistrates court after being arrested on charges of drug possession.

The man was arrested at a stop-and-search by the police.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) is expected to decide on the emergency use listing of the AstraZeneca vaccine, for the two sites in India and the Republic of Korea, which will produce it for COVAX.

Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Patricia de Lille’s husband has passed away.

Electoral Court grants postponement of by-elections:

The Electoral Court has authorised the postponement of by-elections scheduled to be held during March 2021 due to continued COVID-19 level 3 lockdown restrictions which prohibit political activities.
