When it comes to press release submissions we all want to get the best bang for our buck and the widest most comprehensive reach possible.
MyPR Clients using our paid for press release submission service can maximise the reach of their releases by doing the following:
The guaranteed web sites that MyPR Featured Releases can be drip fed to are: MyGqeberha.com, MyPE.co.za, MyCapeTown.co.za, MyDurban.co.za, MyJHB.co.za, MyPTA.co.za, BuyPE.co.za, MyCradock.co.za, Komani.co.za and MyZA.co.za – these sites are monitored by most of the media monitoring companies locally and abroad. Just one confirmation from any of those companies will pay for your small monthly payment to MyPR.
The way to ‘direct’ where you want your articles to be shared is by selecting the Cities/Areas that your release will serve. e.g Select South Africa, Cape Town, Gqeberha, Durban, Johannesburg, Cradock, Queenstown and Pretoria for your release to be shared to those sites as well. The selection appears on your exclusive form in the field asking you to select your targeted Geographical Area.
e.g.: Scroll down to the bottom of the article here: https://mypr.co.za/to-eat-is-to-live-the-portuguese-way-at-the-madeira-fest/ and see the TAGS. The tags are what the drip feed works on. So all the cities (Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria, South Africa) you see as tags are the sites (MyDurban.co.za, MyJHB.co.za, MyPTA.co.za and MyZA.co.za) that the article will feed to. The ‘trick’ is to only select relevant cities.
If you go to the second page of each release – e.g. https://mypr.co.za/to-eat-is-to-live-the-portuguese-way-at-the-madeira-fest/2/ (link to be found just above the TAGS) – you will see a couple of links to Search Results on different search engines and social media sites based on the TITLE of your release.
When adding your release make sure that you select the FEATURED category PLUS the other one or two categories that your release addresses – this will ensure that your release gets to be featured on the front page, at the top of the daily newsletter and in rotation at the bottom of every article on MyPR.
You can see a SECTION of the online visibility of each of your press releases by going to the SECOND PAGE of your press release (add /2/ to the end of the URL) OR look for the link to PAGE 2 at the bottom of your article, just above the tags section.
You can also add an RSS feed of all your MyPR submissions using your author URL from MyPR in an RSS widget on your Worpress or other CMS. Go to one of your press releases and click on your name/agency name next to ‘Author’. To get the RSS feed just add /feed/ at the end of that URL and then use that URL in your RSS feed reader or WordPress RSS Widget. Some examples: 1. Author Page: https://mypr.co.za/author/dionne-mudie/ and 2. Author RSS Feed: https://mypr.co.za/author/dionne-mudie/feed/
Use the Author URL and archive by adding it to your pitch to prospective clients.
