SOUTH AFRICA, CAPE TOWN, 28 JULY 2021 – Aquasky, the atmospheric water company based in Paarl Cape Town specialises in producing and bottling the highest quality water straight from the sky. The company produces this water primarily for the hospitality industry, where it offers hotels and restaurants the opportunity to brand their own bottled water. Drinking still or sparkling water whilst enjoying a meal can enhance the flavour of food and cleanses the palette between courses. Meals aside, for years, the oft repeated popularised ‘rule’ that spread like gospel was for adults to drink an average of eight glasses of water a day to stay hydrated. With that said, during winter, how much water should we be drinking for optimum hydration?

The Institute of Medicine suggests drinking different volumes for each gender. Men are recommended to consume at least three litres a day, whilst woman should average a little over two litres a day. And on warmer winter days, try consuming more water, particularly if you are exercising or sweating.

For children and teenagers, just over a litre along with fresh fruit and vegetables – which contain a lot of water too.

Aside from staying hydrated, water has many other benefits, such as aiding digestion, protecting organ tissue, preventing constipation, clearing your skin and normalising blood pressure amongst many others.

Aquasky believes in the sustainable production of water and offers clients a variety of business solutions, including the reuse of glass-branded bottles for the hospitality industry, office use and even home consumption.

Plus, the technology behind the Aquasky brand ensures that the sustainability aspects of water consumption are kept to a minimum ensuring that your drinking water is not only good for your health but also good for the planet too.
