The Ajax coach Maarten Stekelenburg praised his players efforts after 120 minutes of football in the Nedbank Cup.
Stekelenburg said, “We started the game very well, in the first 10 minutes we played very good. In the second half we made a mistake to let Amazulu back in.
I took Matthew Booth off as a precaution after he received a yellow card, replacing him with Wolff who played very well tonight.
After we scored two goals we allowed Amazulu to get back into the game and they scored. We came back and scored our third and when we scored the fourth I thought the game was over but the match official ruled out the goal.
I can only say to the guys hard luck, I am very proud of my boys but we would have liked to have won.”
