The Reason Why You Are Struggling to Find a Black UIU for Your Amanzi Prepaid Water Meter

7 August 2024 by Con Tributor
Black Prepaid Water Meter UIU (keypad) With Replaceable Batteries

A nationwide shortage of keypads for the Amanzi Prepaid Water Meters has led to concerned consumers trying every avenue for replacement keypads. The black UIU with replaceable batteries from Straton Prepaid has been on back-order for 4 weeks and is only expected to be fulfilled at the end off August 2024.

Straton Prepaid has refunded clients who ordered and are unable to receive stock as a result of this crippling delay.

Persons requiring a new keypad are urged to add their details to this list: https://straton.co.za/uiu-pre-order/ – everyone on the list will be notified, before anyone else, when the first firm shipment date is available.

“The unavailability of these keypads has had a terrible knock on effect for our business, employees and sub contractors – not as bad as for the factory but still concerning for all,” said Straton Prepaid.

Clients seeking a new keypad are greeted with this message on the Straton Prepaid Online Shop:

The Black UIU with Replaceable Batteries is on Back-order and expected to land end of AUGUST 2024 – CLICK HERE to PRE-ORDER Without Payment. We will notify all on this list BEFORE taking down the Back-order/Out of Stock notice.

According to the local factory CEO:

First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the delay in the shipment of your order. We understand how important it is for you to receive your items promptly, and we regret the inconvenience this delay has caused.

The delay has occurred due to an unexpected issue with a major supplier. We are working diligently to resolve the issue and we anticipate having WMD’s the third week in August and UIU’s the week thereafter.

Please be assured that we are taking steps to ensure such delays do not occur in the future. We value your business and are committed to providing you with the best possible service.
