Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Training Runs Announced for 2026

19 December 2025 by Con Tributor

The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Team, together with the event’s incredible sponsors and partners, is rolling out six official TTOM Training Runs in the build-up to the 2026 event. We kick off in style in Cape Town on 25 January, before heading to Joburg on 1 February, Durban on 8 February, Cape Town again on 22 February, Pretoria on 8 March, and Stellenbosch on 22 March.

“We’re excited to introduce six official TTOM Training Runs as we build toward the 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon,” says Chris Goldschmidt, Chairperson of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC. “By partnering with a variety of running clubs across the country, we aim to create experiences that truly celebrate the camaraderie, passion, and excitement that define our running community. These training runs are not just preparation for race day – they’re an opportunity for runners of all levels to connect, grow, and share in the spirit of the Two Oceans Marathon.”

Open exclusively to 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon entrants, each Training Run will offer both a 21km and a 12km route, giving runners the perfect opportunity to build confidence and sharpen their race-day readiness.

“We’re proud to launch the official TTOM Training Runs for 2026 – an exciting build-up to what promises to be an unforgettable race year,” says Wade Bromfield, General Manager of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon. “We’re announcing the dates now so that runners can plan, stay motivated, and lock these sessions into their calendars. The specific start venues will be revealed on our social media channels closer to the time, as we’ll be working closely with our partnering running clubs to select the best locations. These runs are all about energy, community, and shared passion – the perfect way to ignite the countdown to race day!”
