RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA, August 2026, Jennifer Hadley Photography has opened bookings for two India wildlife photography safaris in April 2027, aimed at photographers and wildlife enthusiasts looking to experience Bengal tiger photography in a field environment very different from the open landscapes typically associated with African safaris.
For South African and African wildlife photographers accustomed to photographing lions, leopards, elephants and other familiar safari subjects, Central India presents a different photographic environment. Dense forest, changing light, shorter sightlines and fast-moving encounters can require photographers to adapt quickly to animal movement and shooting conditions.
Kanha National Park combines sal and bamboo forests with open meadows and lakes, while Bandhavgarh includes forests, rocky hills, grasslands and waterholes. Bengal tigers are the main focus of the journeys, but the parks also support leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, Indian gaur, spotted deer, elephants and varied birdlife.
The longer 12-day Tiger Trails departure runs from April 1–12, 2027, and combines Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks. The itinerary is priced from USD $8,800 per person and includes safari time in both destinations as well as a private transfer between the two parks.
A second 8-day Bandhavgarh-focused Tiger Trails departure runs from April 14–21, 2027, and is priced from USD $5,800 per person. The shorter itinerary concentrates the safari experience in Bandhavgarh National Park and is intended for travellers who want substantial time in tiger country within a shorter overall journey.
Both departures are limited to groups of between two and eight travellers, with only two photographers allocated to each safari jeep. For photographers travelling with longer lenses and multiple camera bodies, the reduced vehicle occupancy provides additional room for equipment, greater freedom of movement and clearer shooting positions during wildlife encounters.
Each itinerary includes morning and afternoon safari drives as well as one dedicated full-day safari pass. The full-day pass allows the group to enter the park 15 minutes before general access, remain inside during the middle of the day and leave 15 minutes after standard access ends.
The additional time in the field does not guarantee tiger sightings, but it gives photographers more time to observe changing conditions, animal movement and photographic opportunities as the day develops.
Both departures are personally hosted and led by award-winning wildlife photographer Jennifer Hadley, who provides photography guidance during safari drives and editing assistance at the accommodations. Experienced local naturalist guides support wildlife observation and the search for Bengal tigers throughout the journey.
The tours are open to photographers with different levels of experience, as well as wildlife enthusiasts and non-photographer companions.

Both itineraries begin in New Delhi, with the first night spent at a hotel near the airport. The group then flies internally to Jabalpur and continues to the national parks by private vehicle.
The programmes include accommodation, meals, internal flights within India, the Delhi hotel stay, airport pickup on arrival, private ground transportation, drinks and photography guidance. The longer itinerary also includes the transfer between Kanha and Bandhavgarh.
International flights to and from India and laundry are not included. Single-occupancy options are available at an additional cost, subject to availability.
For African photographers considering an international wildlife photography journey beyond the continent, the two Tiger Trails formats provide different ways to experience India’s tiger country while retaining the same small-group structure, limited safari vehicle occupancy and photography-focused field support.
