Water dept “involved in electricity production”:

The Department of Water and Sanitation Director-General, Dr Sean Phillips, has reiterated that the department will solely be responsible for water use licence applications for hydropower generation, and will not be involved in Eskom processes or own any electricity production.

Tshwane announces repair work to water infrastructure:

Rand Water is expected to conduct emergency repair work on a major water leak in Tshwane, which will leave at least 20 areas of the city without water.

Minister in the Presidency responsible for Electricity, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, has condemned the alleged vandalism of electricity pylons, which led to the collapse of at least seven power line structures in Tshwane on Sunday.
