WESTERN CAPE – The vigilance and commitment of SAPS members to combat crime in Western Cape have yielded positive results on 09 September 2026.
Upon following up on intelligence received, the members arrived at a residence in Da Gama Street, Parrow around 01:30 and conducted a thorough search which led to 27 270 mandrax tablets being discovered. After this lengthy pursuit, a 39-year-old Zimbabwean male suspect was apprehended for possession of drugs and detained at Parrow SAPS.
He will appear at Parrow Magistrate’s Court once he has been charged.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, 08 September around 23:30 during a stop and search operation at Cook Street, Goodwood a 28-year-old male suspect was arrested for possession of drugs. This comes after the police found 18 and a half mandrax tablets in his pockets. He was detained at Goodwood SAPS and will appear in Goodwood Magistrate’s Court once he has been charged.
