WESTERN CAPE – The Provincial Commissioner of the Western Cape Lieutenant General Sizakhele Dyantyi has issued a stern warning to SAPS members who are busy with corrupt activities following an incident in which a police constable was arrested for corruption on Monday, 31 August 2026, at Delft SAPS.
The arrest followed after members of the Anti-Corruption Unit followed up information about a case docket that went missing. A thorough investigation into the case was conducted and the member was identified and arrested.
The adult male suspect is due to appear in the Bellville Magistrates’ court on Wednesday, 02 September 2026.
Members of the public are urged to use the Anti-Corruption Hotline number 0800 701 701 to report any corrupt activities involving police members.
