
With summer fast approaching, Long Street Boutique Hotel has officially opened its doors and is ready to welcome guests back to the comfort and safety of their hotel. The hotel has been closed since South Africa first entered national lockdown.
The 4 star boutique hotel is perfectly placed on the famous, vibrant Long Street strip – the axis around which the Mother City revolves and a popular must-visit for travellers from around the world.
Long Street Boutique Hotel is centrally located with easy access to Cape Town’s major attractions and activities, offering a wide variety of shopping experiences, restaurants, bars, antique and book shops right on its doorstep. With its historical victorian charm and character, the hotel is complemented by modern conveniences and contemporary decor.

Moyo has been in the hospitality industry for over 8 years, with previous experience at the likes of Impala Boutique Hotel and Holiday Inn, and says she loves working at the Long Street Boutique Hotel “It’s a very small and intimate hotel in the heart of the buzz of the city. It gives me satisfaction when guests appreciate not only our personalised service but our convenient location.”
This stunning boutique hotel offers accommodation in 12 guest rooms for tourists and locals. The rooms all feature Nespresso coffee and tea stations, air-conditioning, a flat screen TV and satellite bouquet, amenities, electronic safes (suitable for laptops) and views of the cityscape. Double-glazed windows help to reduce street noise, and complimentary ear plugs are available for light sleepers.
The hotel offers four Deluxe rooms and eight Standard rooms (4 with balconies, 4 without). All the rooms have showers and two of the Deluxe rooms have a freestanding Victorian bath. Choose between queen size beds, twins or king size beds, all with high quality cotton linen. Rooms are serviced on a daily basis, linen and towels are provided, and hair dryers are available on request. Rooms are non-smoking but there are designated smoking areas on the lounge balcony. An honesty bar is available in the hotel lounge and reception area.
The hotel offers several services for guests “We provide a laundry service and business desk and will happily assist with printing, photocopying and scanning requests. Our tourism desk has information on an array of popular activities, landmarks and tours. We will happily recommend and book tours and transfers for you,” says Moyo who has been with the hotel for 4 years.
She continues: “We also offer a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self-parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.”

There are many excellent breakfast and dinner spots on the hotel’s doorstep, offering breakfast items and fine dining. Knead Bakery an artisan bakery/patisserie that serves breakfast, light meals, coffee and cakes. Our Local @ 117 Kloof is another great breakfast spot with a menu that offers their speciality open toasts and famous Arnold Bennett and more.
