
R124,615,000 has been allocated for the Covid informal settlement development in Mfuleni, planned in three phases. Phase one, currently underway, aims to relocate 400 occupants, while phase two will relocate 600, and phase three, 1,000 by October next year. Basic services will be provided, and the project supports local job creation.
