MyPR: Spur Schools MTB League Western Cape Finals:

Now in its eleventh year, the Spur Schools MTB League (SSMTBL) has seen record entries countrywide this season. The biggest Western Cape event drew more than 900 riders and large numbers are being expected for the regional finals this weekend at Paul Roos Gimnasium in Stellenbosch.
Paul Roos has been top of the leader board since the inception of the league and is currently in a comfortable first overall with a total of 1456 points followed by Parel Vallei High School with 888 and Durbanville High School third with 627 points.
Other contenders vying for a spot on the top 10 schools list include HTS Drostdy, DF Malan High School, Montana High School, Hermanus High School, Rhenish Girls High School, SACS College and Curro Hermanus.
Fierce competition is expected on Saturday, 14 Sepgtember as only the top five male and top three female teams in each province will qualify for the SSMTBL finals to be hosted at Wagpos High School in Brits in the North West Province from 26-28 September.
