Woman dies at Cape Town International

Cape Town – A 63-year-old woman who collapsed after boarding a Mango flight at Cape Town International Airport on Tuesday, died shortly afterwards.

Mango spokesperson Hein Kaiser said the woman had booked a ticket for flight JE702 to Lanseria Airport in Johannesburg.

After collapsing, she was taken off the plane and was received by the airport’s emergency personnel.

The cause of death was not yet clear and Kaiser would not reveal her identity.

“We share our condolences with the family,” he said, adding they had been notified and were offered counselling.

Guests on the same flight were also offered counselling.
